In order to fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, deepen the State Council's "National Standardization Development Outline," and implement the requirements of the "2023 National Standardization Work Points" and other documents, further strengthen the role of standardization in promoting the sustainable and high-quality development of the rare earth industry. From November 9th to 10th, 2023, the National Rare Earth Standardization Technical Committee Annual Conference was successfully held in Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province. The conference was hosted by the Nonferrous Metal Technology and Economic Research Institute Co., Ltd., the China Nonferrous Metal Industry Standardization Measurement and Quality Research Institute, and the National Rare Earth Standardization Technical Committee. China Rare Earth Group Co., Ltd. was invited to co-host, and Qiandong Rare Earth Group Co., Ltd. was co-organizer. More than 140 representatives from more than 70 units in the rare earth industry attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the "Determination of Total α and Total β Radioactivity in Rare Earth Ore and Rare Earth Products - Thick Source Method," led by the Jiangxi Tungsten and Rare Earth Quality Inspection Center, won the third prize. The "Chemical Analysis Method for Non-Rare Earth Impurities in Rare Earth Metals and Oxides - Part 20: Determination of Trace and Ultra-trace Fluorine and Chlorine in Rare Earth Oxides - Ion Chromatography Method," in which they participated, won the first prize. Comrade Xu Na, the Minister of the Inspection Department of the Jiangxi Tungsten and Rare Earth Quality Inspection Center, was awarded the title of National Rare Earth Standardization Advanced Worker for the year 2023.
In recent years, the Jiangxi Tungsten and Rare Earth Quality Inspection Center has increased its research on inspection, testing, and analysis technology, adhered to scientific and technological innovation to improve standard quality, promoted the transformation of scientific research results through the promotion of standards, and led and participated in the formulation of multiple national and industry standards based on technical services and accumulated practical experience in the rare earth industry. It has served the transformation and upgrading of the industry and achieved high-quality development.
